Donald was my Great Grandfather. He was born in Campbeltown, and moved to Greenock circa 1907/8 to work as a Shipwright. He was living and working in Lyttelton Harbour NZ between 1910 and 1919, where my Grandmother was born. He worked as a Shipwright on Captain Scott’s ship Discovery when it was harboured at Lyttelton. He died in the Greenock Blitz. My father was only 6 years old and sheltering in an Anderson Shelter when his Grandfather was killed.
