Passing of Ian Morrissey, Trustee

The Trust regrets to announce the sad passing of one of its serving Trustees, Ian Morrissey.

Ian was a member of the Trust for many years, organising and leading ceremonial presence at Trust events, before becoming a Trustee. In his role as a member of the Trust’s Board of Trustees, Ian held the portfolio for all matters ceremonial and his measured and thoughtful style contributed greatly to the work of the Trust.

His commitment and dedication was without question. We have lost a friend and someone fully focussed on paying tribute to all those members of the fire service who have died in the course of their duties.His smartness in uniform, organisational skill, and his gentle but persuasive style when on ceremonial duty will sorely missed
