Brigade number 1174, Station 87 Kennington. Sub Officer W Hall, Sub Officer W Cornford, Fireman W Nash, Fireman W Johnson, Fireman A Page and Fireman J Fairbrother also killed. Future site of LFB Headquarters. Fireman Fay had been recalled from the the Army along with others following the increasing air raids on London, having survived the fighting at Mons, Marne and Aisne.
