Telephonist Stn.24 - Brunswick Road. On detached duties. Had swopped her duty shift to allow her friend to go a dance. Tragedy was added a few months later when the cemetery where she was buried was hit by a bomb, destroying her remains. One of 2 Firewomen and 32 Firemen who died as result of a direct hit on their fire station during an air raid.
