Four Queens Gallantry Medals and three Queen's Commendations for Brave Conduct were awarded for actions at this incident. 30 Pumps and 3 TLs. Numerous rescues, including 5 involving Fireman Petitt prior to the collapse, who received one of the three Queen's Commendations posthumously.
